Main Opnions

Based on the reality of reform and opening up, Lin Yifu has independently established and practiced the theoretical system of new structural economics, which has an important influence in the world. Enriching and improving the theory of agricultural economics, rebuilding the institutional arrangement and macroeconomic theory of developing countries have made an important contribution to the innovation of economic theory in China. He participated in the reform of state-owned enterprises, financial system, telecommunications system, China's accession to the world trade organization, economic globalization, grain, agriculture, rural areas and other important reform policies. He also participated in the establishment of the school of South South cooperation and development of Peking University and promoted the transformation and deepening of cooperation.

Controversy

Lin Yifu's road to home is full of brambles. The Defense Department of the Taiwan authorities said on May 28, 2013 that Lin Yifu was a "criminal who defected", who was against the loyalty and integrity of the soldiers and the value of military ethics. As for his return, the position of the Taiwan authorities has not changed so far, and there was no fuzzy space in dealing with it.
