MCCC and ANBOUND Reached Strategic Cooperation

The "Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony between Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) and ANBOUND Think Tank", and the "Launching of the Report on Investment Opportunities Arise from U.S.-China Trade Spat" was held on March 15, 2019 at MATRADE Perdana Hall. The MCCC-Anbound partnership aims to facilitate business matchings and enhance interactions between Chinese and Malaysian companies of multiracial background. MCCC and Anbound will jointly undertake research works and provide advisory service in the areas of macroeconomics, urban research, industrial and business strategies, explore new areas of cooperation, jointly organise business fora, seminars, conventions, training, field trips and other activities. MCCC and Anbound will proactively engage businesses from China and Malaysia through a series of research and advisory services to actively promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation which will eventually help push forward the regional industrial cooperation in ASEAN.

A panel discussion held on the same day was attended by researchers from various think tanks. The session discussed Chinese overseas investment strategies, possible market change and counter measures to be taken by Chinese companies against the backdrop of the China-US trade spat. The outcome of the discussion offers a strong basis in helping Chinese and Malaysian businesses to make the right commercial and industrial planning decisions.

This event was officiated by Malaysia's Special Envoy to China YB Tan Kok Wai and attended by Chinese embassy representative in Malaysia.

Founded in 1990, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) is a non-governmental, non-profit, multi-ethnic and independent business association. MCCC aims at facilitating interaction, cooperation and development in trade, investment and other industrial and commercial fields between Malaysia and China.
