Dr. Richard Weitz from Hudson Institute visited ANBOUND Beijing Office
Dr. Richard Weitz, Senior Fellow and
Director of the Center for Political-Military Analysis at the Hudson Institute,
and Hansol Kim, the former Asan Fellow of Center for Political-Military
Analysis and currently research associate at Incheon University, on 9 January
visited ANBOUND Beijing Office. On behalf of ANBOUND, Feng Yan (Deputy Director
of Research Affairs), Wang Yi (Head of Global Development Program), and Tony
Pan (Research Fellow of International Relations Center) attended the meeting.
Both sides exchanged their observations related to regional affairs,
geopolitical trends, Chinese investment and risks.
Wang Yi and Tony Pan briefly introduced
the history of ANBOUND and its independent operation. Dr. Weitz was very impressed with ANBOUND's long-standing
engagement in the Chinese policymaking process. Both also expressed the willingness
of further communications and possible cooperation.
Dr. Weitz is renowned expert in Europe,
Eurasia, and East Asia, as well as U.S. foreign and defense policies. He has
abundant experiences in the field of nonproliferation, defense studies, and
Eurasia affairs. The Hudson Institute founded in 1961 is a politically
conservative, non-profit American think tank based in Washington.
