ANBOUND FY2020 Strategy Meeting Convened Online

ANBOUND's FY2020 Strategy Meeting was virtually held on April 13-18, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The eight offices of ANBOUND, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Urumqi, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Kuala Lumpur, joined in the virtual platform.

At the beginning of the meeting, ANBOUND chief researcher and founding partner Mr. Chan Kung presented ANBOUND's research vision, which strive for the betterment of public welfare. There are differing opinions on the purpose of public policy research, generally, for the governments. As one of independent think tanks, ANBOUND does not only look to serve certain communities or organizations, but for the public welfare that goes beyond national borders and shared future for mankind. This is also what's objective ANBOUND running in the past 27 years, namely, "thoughts advance the social progress".

Continuously, ANBOUND reached out to more international cooperation and increasing global dialogues. Since 2019, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Korea Development Institute (KDI), RAND Corporation (RAND), the Embassy of India in China, University of Pennsylvania, Hudson Institute and other organizations connected with ANBOUND. What the topics are concerned, with the range from geopolitics, urban development, to economy, finance, and industries.

Under the unexpected circumstances in 2020, ANBOUND will make adaptive adjustments in the year itself. We plan to be upgrading ANBOUND policy research tool, alongside four types of functions that include facts tracking, expert advisory, online services and partnership. Interactive discussions will more take place between ANBOUND and global renowned research institutions, in terms of public policy topics. Webinar with decision makers has been engaged in daily decision-making supports to our clients.
