ANBOUND was invited to attend 2020 China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum

On November 24, ANBOUND as independent think tank was invited to attend China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum hosted at the Penn Wharton China Center in Beijing. This is annual forum initiated by The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania and Center for China and Globalization (CCG).

More than 200 think tanks have participated this forum at both virtual town and physical venue. Senior executives, experts and scholars from think tanks in different regions and countries shared their opinions on how to operate think tanks that are facing increasingly tremendous uncertainties, and what would be the path for the sustainable development of think tanks. Enhancing cooperation and communications among think tanks, which is one of major topics in this forum. Dr. James G. McGann, Director of TTCSP, said a necessity to rethink the traditional business models for think tanks. Only those who are smarter, better, faster, tech-savvy, agile would be able to weather the storm. Hope think tanks in China will join the global community and help strengthen the force of think tanks in the world.

During this high-level event, panelists discussed geopolitical issues, technological advancement, national development and international relations, digital cooperation, public policy engagement. He Jun, ANBOUND Director of China Macroeconomic Research Center and senior researcher, had an honor to be speaker in the panel on "How can China's non-government think tanks and civil society organizations play a greater role in the era full of great changes". ANBOUND scholars always present their forward-looking research views, and propose policy advice and solutions to address the economic and social issues, incl. published strategic research reports on Revisiting Geo-Economic Values of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Hydrogen Energy Society, Pedestrian Oriented Development (POD) and Urban Renewal in China, and others more. We contribute our efforts to facilitating the improvement of public welfare.

This event was open to the public and available via livestream. There were 2.6 million audiences worldwide who watched online.
