Brazil's Economic Recession, Increased Investment Risk for China’s Companies
ANBOUND

On 13th January, a Brazilian business daily, Valor Economico reported that due to the sharp depreciation of currency, in 2015, there was a foreign direct investment boom in Brazil and the acquisitions made by the Chinese companies have been particularly striking.

ANBOUND's scholars have been following the economic development in Brazil closely and have warned repeatedly that the Brazil’s economy is facing a very huge crisis that could lead to regional systemic risk.

Against such a backdrop, it is likely that the investments made by China in these two years might face quite some risk.

As such, the relevant investment institutions should stay alert, make careful assessments and prepare countermeasures in advance.
