Biden's Approval Ratings Worse than Most U.S. President

A new Gallup poll shows that roughly nine months into his presidency, President Joe Biden's approval ratings fell more than any other American president since 1945.

The poll results released on Saturday showed that Biden's approval ratings dropped by 11.3 per cent (from 56% in the first three months of his presidency to 44.7% in the past three months). This also means that he fared worse than Barack Obama, who saw his approval fall by 10.1 per cent over his first nine months.

In contrast, the approval ratings of former President Donald Trump fell by only 4.4 per cent during the first nine months of his presidency.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Biden's approval ratings dropped sharply since July this year, when the number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. was on the rise, and the chaotic situation of the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan at the end of August caused his approval ratings to drop even further.

In addition, the New York Post reported in early September that according to a poll, Trump would defeat Biden if an election was held again.

This poll was released by Emerson College on September 3. The results from August 30 to September 1 showed that if there is a re-election and Trump runs again, then 47% of respondents would vote for Trump, while those who would vote for Biden are one per cent lower, at 46%. In addition, another 6% of respondents said they would vote for another candidate.
