ANBOUND's Observation: Information Tracking on Biden’s Infrastructural Plan
ANBOUND
The U.S. House of
Representatives passed a roughly USD 2 trillion education, healthcare and
climate package on Friday. After months of debates, the Democrats passed the
core content of President Biden's economic agenda with narrow majorities
The bill was passed by
220 votes to 213, and all Republicans voted against it.
Although the vote in
the House of Representatives brought Democrats closer to uniting their divided
centrists and progressives to support the bill, the party still needs to push
the bill to pass in the Senate, where the two parties are evenly matched. In
the Senate, lawmakers plan to amend or cut some of the bill's provisions in the
coming weeks.
ANBOUND’s interpretation:
This is an internal matter of the Democratic Party. Its senior leadership must
had conducted preliminary communication prior this. Therefore, the passage of
the House of Representatives vote could signify that the future of the infrastructure
bill has been basically been confirmed.
