The Prospects and Policy Choices of China's Agricultural Land Reform

After the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the new leadership has vigorously carried out series of anti-corruption moves throughout the country. At this point, two questions have to be asked: What is the future of China's reform? How to start these measures? As one of the leading think tanks in China, ANBOUND believed that breakthroughs are possible in three major areas: governmental reform, reform of state-owned enterprises and land reform. An important part of land reform, rural collective land reform is the most urgent and most likely to be implemented. From the perspectives of Chinese government’s economic strategic transformation, urban and rural development, and "three rural" issues, collective land reform in the rural areas bear high significance to the country.
