Wang Qishan Meets with Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali of Bangladesh

On June 29, 2018, Vice President Wang Qishan met with Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali of Bangladesh at Zhongnanhai.

Wang Qishan expressed that as traditional friendly close neighbors, China and Bangladesh share dovetailed development aspirations and connected national dreams. President Xi Jinping and the leader of Bangladesh jointly elevated China-Bangladesh relations to strategic cooperative partnership, providing a new opportunity for promoting the two countries to deepen understanding, increase mutual trust, pursue common development and realize mutual benefit and win-win results. In today's world, peace and development, economic globalization, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind are irreversible trends. The relations between China and Bangladesh are a vivid reflection of China's neighborhood diplomacy featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness. China applauds Bangladesh's remarkable development achievements, and stands ready to take the joint construction of the Belt and Road as an opportunity to enhance cooperation in various fields with Bangladesh, and implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries in actions.

Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali expressed that the two peoples enjoy profound friendship, and the development momentum of Bangladesh-China cooperation is cheerful. Bangladesh stands ready to constantly consolidate and strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields to promote bilateral relations to a new stage under the framework of the Belt and Road.
