It is reported that MOHURD (Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development) is studying the proposal to establish policy-oriented financial institution namely housing security bank. ANBOUND research team believes that the establishment of housing security bank during difficult financing period is beneficial to the local governments in completing national housing projects via increasing high-rating and lower-cost financing options. Besides that, it is also beneficial to financial institutions including commercial banks in reducing risk exposure and capital occupancy. Moreover, it also promotes industrial transformation and upgrading.
