Mobile payment applications become very popular now especially when it comes to small payment transactions. ANBOUND’s visiting economist Zhong Wei summarized this phenomenon as: the time of UnionPay is gradually ending and the field of payment settlement is quite a chaos. He believes that cash is the most distant form of modern taxation system, thus the change from cash payment to card or mobile payment will contribute to the government’s construction of personal taxation system in the future.
