Hong Kong Needs to Contemplate on its Stubbornness
ANBOUND

Alibaba decided to be listed in the US instead of Hong Kong. ANBOUND's senior researcher He Jun thinks that although it seems correct for Hong Kong to put more weight on principles than interest, the country needs to contemplate on its market system reform for forgoing USD15billion of huge fund by sticking to its principles. Hong Kong stubbornly sticks to its established regulations and seldom seeks innovation and breakthrough according to circumstances. An ideal development model is by no means to limit market via regulation, but to promote market development and innovation. If Hong Kong stand still and refuse to make any progress, no doubt that its international competitiveness will be falling.
