The future society must be a knowledge-oriented society. Knowledge and information will be spread throughout every corner and sector as well as across all industries to support economic development. From ANBOUND's chief researcher Chan Kung point of view, China has lost its dominant position in education, culture and industry knowledge. To maintain its status as the world class manufacturing country, China has to enhance and update its knowledge besides emphasizing on the originality of academic achievement. China will be the world’s largest knowledge importer but the outlook seems not optimistic.
