Russia's economy is affected by the sanctions from the western countries in-line with its annexation of Crimea, therefore Moscow has begun to turn to Asia. Russia has higher expectation towards cooperation with China since Japan and South Korea are part of the U.S. camp. ANBOUND think tank scholars believe that China should rationally treat its cooperation with Russia. First, China needs to seize the strategic opportunity and make a good use of it. Second, China should reasonably strive after realistic interests. Third, China needs to maintain friendly relationship with Ukraine, United States and Europe while giving its support to Russia at the same time.
