Anti-corruption Is A Must Despite Huge Economic Cost
ANBOUND

According to the report by American bank Merill Lynch, Chinese government bears USD 135 billion of economic cost for the anti-corruption movement over the past one year. This indicates that anti-corruption movement is facing enormous economic challenges. From ANBOUND's point of view, although anti-corruption is not the substitute of reform or construction, it should be taken into account from the aspects of politics, system and society rather than just economy, especially local economy. Even from economic perspective, theoretically it clearly states that corruption increases social cost meanwhile anti-corruption reduces the waste of resources as well as significantly reduces unfair competition.
