China Central Bank's Treaty and Law Department director Mu Huaipeng recently said that "it is possible to classify internet finance regulations under the existing finance regulation framework." ANBOUND think tank scholars believe that the regulation on internet finance needs to focus on information disclosure and break away from “information isolation” between institutions. Hence, relevant departments need to strengthen their finance regulation and infrastructure construction besides introducing necessary protection measures for consumers. As a result, there is a need to establish perfect protection system centering on information disclosure to consumers.
