Different of Interests between US and EU May Differentiate Ukraine Crisis Policy
ANBOUND

On April 17, United States, European Union, Russia and Ukraine had a talk in Geneva to address the issue of pro-Russian militants that occupied local government buildings in the eastern Ukraine. ANBOUND think tank scholars believe that U.S. and EU have different interests towards the sanctions on Russia. For the U.S., it is mainly political interests. Meanwhile EU has economic interest apart from political interest. As long as the situation in Ukraine does not cross the bottom lines of the US and EU, it will not lead to war. The different of interests might lead to different views and strategies toward Ukraine crisis policy.
