Recently, the president of a renowned central SOE is under investigation. As expected by ANBOUND's research team, the anti-corruption movement in China is spreading from government to SOEs. In-line with the change of anti-corruption campaign, the problematic senior managers in central SOEs are often linked to local government officials. China’s marketization is still weak and central SOEs have both resources and advantages. However, they are also prone to systematic risks. The local officials need to pay extra attention on the risks of central SOEs’ senior managers.
