From ANBOUND research team's point of view, the growing suspicion between U.S. and the BRICS countries provides a good opportunity to China. China needs to establish its own international network, increase its involvement and influence in international affairs and international governance besides narrow the huge gap between China’s strength and its right to speak in international governance. The BRICS is obviously a good platform. Meanwhile, given the economic scale, China will definitely play a major role in financial organizations in the future. This aligns with China’s interests and allows the country to enhance its capability in global public service.
