Since the return of Hongkong to China, Shenzhen's development trajectory has been through some major changes. ANBOUND think tank scholars highlighted that with the enhancing support from the central government on Hongkong’s development, the integration between the mainland and Hongkong will embrace a new phase. Shenzhen will be the direct beneficiary of the integration thus Guangdong and Shenzhen should commit their efforts in the construction of Yue-Gang-Ao (Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao) free trade zone in order to attract investment capitals from Hongkong and seize the historical opportunity of Hongkong-Shenzhen integration.
