Cost Competitiveness of the U.S Manufacturing Industry is Catching up with China

Recently, Boston Consulting Group did a survey and found out that the U.S manufacturing industry is now ranked second in the world after China. ANBOUND think tank scholars highlighted that in the past, the U.S. manufacturing sector only loose out in the aspect of cost competitiveness but it has higher technology and labor efficiency compared to China. Now, since gap of cost competitiveness in both countries is getting smaller, China's manufacturing industry need to reshape its competitiveness. There is an urgent need for China to upgrade its "world factory" as soon as possible in order to keep its comparative advantage in the world market.
