China Halts Oil Export to NK
ANBOUND

Chinese custom data reveals that in this February, China has stopped exporting crude oil to North Korea, which is the first oil export suspension to NK since February 2012. Although China plays the role as NK's most important economic and diplomatic ally, NK's current aggressive behavior negatively affected the bilateral relations. According to the custom data, China normally exported 30-50 hundreds tons of crude oil to NK each month with the total export at 523,041 tons throughout 2012. The oil was valued around $380 million dollars with $100 dollar per barrel.
